A Whopping 83% of Gen Z Believes Women Should be Allowed to Survive Pregnancy, But Will They Vote?
San Francisco, CA – Each generation leads America with new views on the world. Millennials became the first generation to lead on gay rights, leading to gay couples legally marrying and adopting children. In turn, new polling data shows 83% of Gen Z believe that women should be allowed to survive pregnancy, potentially leading to women having access to full healthcare and decisions over bodily autonomy.
“Although these findings could have radical effects for generations to come, I would not expect immediate changes to our political system,” explained pollster Karen Balakoski. “Sure, Generation Z has broken with their grandparents to believe gay couples can marry and adopt children, bounty hunters should not have license to hunt K-pop, and women should be allowed to survive pregnancy but will they vote?”
The candidates stand in stark contrast on the issues, Harris defending universal healthcare, and a woman’s right to choose, while Trump says abortions should only be legal for “eights and above.” Yet, the polling data questions whether Generation Z is excited about voting.
As a responsible news service Seahorseshoe could bring you interviews with well informed members of Gen Z who explain their beliefs. We could also interview activist members, or social media influencers like Victor Shi, Aaron Parnas, or Chris Mowrey. However, in the interest of making the election look like a horserace we have decided to only elevate those who cannot take sides, and whose views may raise your blood pressure. Our hope is for you to remain too angry not to keep checking our site.
“It does not matter to me that I am a man, I still believe women have the right to safe abortion, especially if it saves her life,” said Mark Nyugen. “However, I was then asked to vote for a party I prefer, and that meant checking boxes next to names, and I just cannot be one of those people who prefers one candidate over another. So uncool.”
Mark was not the only one echoing this view as Elizabeth Monro said “my mom told me it is not about the candidates but the future we want to live in. But like, I am nineteen, is the future going to affect me? I can worry about the future when I am old.”
Will Gen Z create a country in its image? One of equality and opportunity for all regardless of race, sexual and gender identity, and birth wealth? Or will they decide voting is uncool? Check in Tuesday when Seahorseshoe decides if it can still exist, or must close down before the government seizes all non-OAN news organizations.
